“Too busy to grow, too broke to outsource?” How to break the vicious circle.

If I had a pound for every business woman who's told me content creation is something they'll outsource "once they're earning a bit more," I'd be able to retire early.

The trouble is, that mindset leads to a vicious circle. You can't get to that income level because you're too buried in the day-to-day to do the marketing that would grow you out of it. And the longer you wait, the more it costs you — not just in money, but in you.

A lot of the women I talk to aren't just busy. They're nearing burnout. Disheartened, wondering if it's even worth carrying on. The thing they're waiting to afford might actually be the thing that stops them quitting.

I know a lot of the hesitation comes down to money — especially when you're not paying yourself much yet, so spending on content feels indulgent rather than sensible. I get it, I've thought the same thing. But here's the bit that changes the picture, while you're with a client this afternoon — hands full, earning the money you actually got into business for — I'm at my laptop working on the content that gets you your next booking. Same hours, doing double duty.

And when you finish for the day? You get to actually finish. Shut the laptop, go be with your kids, make the tea, ride the horse or watch rubbish telly — whatever you like because the work is done. Instead of the caption you've been putting off since Tuesday finally getting written at 9pm, guilt in one hand, cold cup of tea in the other.

That's what you're paying for. Not a blog post. Not a caption. But two things happening at once  instead of always feeling torn. — and a bit of yourself left over at the end of the day, instead of none.

Your probably wondering what does content support look like in practice? It's not complicated.

It's captions written in your voice, not a generic one.

Blog posts that go out on time instead of "someday."

No more missed bookings because you forgot the post the link on your socials.

A content plan so you're not staring at a blank screen wondering what to post, because someone's already sorted that for next week and the week after.

Small things, individually — but stacked up over a month, they're the difference between a business that's ticking over and one that's actually growing.

I know the money question doesn't fully disappear but you’ll stay stuck in that vicious circle if you don’t change something.

If any of today's blog has felt familiar — if you're the kind of business owner who's brilliant at what you do but running on fumes trying to also be your own marketing department as well as everything else life and business demands,  I have two low-risk way to find out what this could look like for you.

If you're not ready to commit to anything, start with a free 30-minute brainstorming call. No pressure, just a “bucket full of ideas.” To use on a content type of your choice.

Or, if you fancy dipping a toe in properly, a £75 Power Hour is a brilliant first try at outsourcing without committing to a big spend. One hour, one problem solved , a batch of captions written, a blog post drafted, a content plan sorted. Enough to take some pressure of and help you move forward in some way and use that energy to make further progress possible.

Pop me a message and let's find the right starting point for you.
