How to repurpose your blog posts.

Even if you’re not a natural born writer or if you don’t have a huge following, I still believe blogging is one of the best tools in your marketing and content resources.

Nowadays it’s one of the most well-known long form pieces of content out there. If you’re a small business owner who can or wants to blog, then I think it’s important you put that effort to good use and repurpose your blog in as many ways as possible.

This is a great help in battling the time management issues of being a small business owner and a mum!

I pick a theme a monthly theme, write a blog to support that theme, and build the rest of my plan from there.

There is more than you think inside your blog just like a russian doll, they give giving you more.

Think of your blog like a Russian doll. Once written your blog, is one, if not the biggest piece of content you write but just like that biggest doll, your blog has lots of different sized pieces to share inside it. Utilise those little gems and let them shine.

Here are 5 ways I believe you can repurpose your blog into other content.

• Take statement sentences and turn them into social media captions.

• Share your blog with your email list as one part of your regular email routine. Remember emails are direct mail and land in the readers’ inboxes this makes it easy for them to visit the blog with a simple click of a link.

• Use your clear and concise title that tells the reader what reading this blog will teach them as Pins for your Pinterest. After all Pinterest is used as a visual search engine. Think of it as creating a front cover like it’s a book or magazine.

• Share it as a segment in your Newsletter, it’s OK that this goes to your email list as well as long as, you space out the send of the blog email and the newsletter. It presents a good chance to mention the blog from a different angle or include any interesting feedback or conversations you have had with people since first releasing the blog.

Remember people see on average 7 hours’ worth of content per day. (according to Forbes 2020). With that level of “noise” in front of them everyday people are going to benefit from a reminder.

• Create a podcast or vlog depending on your preference based on your blog. Try not to read it like a script, use it as your conversation starter, the theme for your episode.
